He was predeceased by: his parents, Spencer Kennedy and Virginia Loar Kennedy. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Kennedy; his children, Alison Vallone (Joseph), Audrey Blake (Matthew), Alina Pavone (Jason), Ann Kirkwood (Jeremy), Gary Kennedy Jr. and Quaide Kennedy (Kristin); his siblings, Scott Satterfield (Weiping), Susan Feldman (Fred) and Melissa Ferlita (Trey); and his grandchildren, Thomas, Nicholas, Daniel Vallone, Claire, Madison Blake, Payton, Maddox Pavone, Jane, Jonathan, Ruth, Avie, Leonhardt, Maccabee, Joseph Kirkwood, Samson, Silas, Stanley and Sagan Kennedy.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Francis Foundation to benefit the 9th floor Rehabilitation, 1 St. Francis Dr., Greenville, SC 29601.
