He was predeceased by: his mother Grace Gowan Hill. He is survived by: his wife Martha Snow Gowan; his sons, David Gowan (Michelle) of Bonaire and John Gowan (Michelle) of Macon, Georgia; and his grandchildren, Charles Gregg Gowan II, Caroline Gowan, Lauren Gowan and Lindsey Gowan.
