He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Thomas and Amanda Dupree Litchfield; and his siblings, J. E. Litchfield, Andrew J. Litchfield, Edward T. Litchfield, Maxine Alderman, Shelle Brinson, Leona Piegler, Garnetta Shelton and Viola Shuman.
He is survived by: his wife Estelle B. Litchfield; his children, Arnie Litchfield (Vickie) of Travelers Rest, Gwen Starling (Donald) of Greer and Amanda R. Wolber (Daniel) of Bremerton, Washington; and his grandchildren, Dillon Litchfield, Geoffrey Starling (Caroline), Elijah Wolber, Allison Starling, Sarah Litchfield and Lydia Wolber.
