He was predeceased by: his parents, George Foster and Annie B. Foster; and his siblings, Albert Foster, Alberta Foster, Lillie Mae Rookard, Carl Foster, George Foster, Jr., Ardell Foster, Paul Foster, Frank Foster and Virginia Foster.

He is survived by: his children, Dorothy Barksdale of Wellford, SC, Brenda Foster of Wellford, SC, Deborah Foster of Wellford, SC, Jackie Foster (Fracilla) of Greenville, SC, Annie Mae Poole of Greer, SC and Angela Foster of Lyman, SC; his brother Boyce Foster of Greer, SC; his grandchildren, Runion Foster (Bridgott), Kelvin Foster, Necole F. Taylor (Andre), Kashalett Foster, Frederick Foster and Joshua Foster; and his great grandchild Cameron Foster.
