He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Black and Lillie Bright Black Smith. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Ann Smith Black; his son Gerald Black (Cynthia Grooms); and his brother James Steven Hawkins (Dianne) of Enoree. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
