He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Marion and Ruby Marcelle Farmer Fitts; and his sister Melissa Searcy. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Bridges Fitts; his daughter Joy D. Smith (David) of Greer; his siblings, Olin Fitts (Cecil) of Greer, Frances Barnette of Greer, Pat Dobson (Rainey) of Taylors and Ruby Golightly of Inman; and his grandchildren, Glenda Paige Smith and Makaila Grace Smith. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews; and numerous special friends.
