He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Oliver Turner; his daughters, Amanda Pruiksma (David) and Kim Conner (Dana); his stepson Tony Waddell; and his siblings, William Simpson, Rosette Boyter (Danny) and Odette Gentry. He is also survived by six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
