He was predeceased by: his parents, Furman Smith and Rosa Lee Hunter Smith. He is survived by: his wife Rose Jackson Smith; his daughter Jackie Smith of Greer; and his sisters, Mamie Hawthorne of Greer, Dora Morrow (John) of Greenville and Doris Robinson of Spartanburg.
