With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Skilyr Hicks of Greer, South Carolina, who passed away on December 6, 2021 at the age of 23. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Jon Hicks. She is survived by: her mother Jodi Simak Cronk; her stepfather Charles Cronk; her siblings, Breelyn, Cain, Ryker and Keatyn; her uncle Jeremy Simak; her aunt Christa; her grandparents, Joe Simak (Toni), Chris Hicks and Paula Harrington; her great-grandparents, Joe and Marilyn Simak; her uncle Chris; and her niece Everleigh Noelle Hicks.
The pandemic didn't just arrive…it's been here all along…silently sifting it's poison. Skilyr's battle evidently wasn't meant to be private. And when you're forced to hang out in the spotlight rain or shine…its either cower under embarrassment and shame…. convince yourself that a 20 year old drinking underage is actually top news, or recognize the supernatural hand of favor that's creating a platform to shine God's light out of the rubble…straight out of the depths of the battlefield and out of the greatest sorrow.
