She was predeceased by: her husband Larry Simmons; her parents, Isom Sidney and Lyda Bell Dill Clayton; her sons, Dean Simmons and Trevor Simmons; and her siblings, Harold Clayton, O'Dell Clayton and Geraldine Williams.

She is survived by: her brother Junior Clayton (Donna); her grandchildren, Breanna Simmons (Trey) and Cheyenne Durham; and her great grandchild Nevaeh Williams.
