He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Lib" Crain Hammett; his children, Joel Hammett (Nancy) of Clover and Lisa Hammett Johnson (Kevin) of Raleigh; his brother Robert Hammett (Sue) of Greer; his grandchildren, Britt Johnson, Delaney Johnson, Erin Waldrop, Berlin Gipson and Taylor Gipson; and his great grandchildren, Bexley Wilker, Emma Wilker, Tucker Gipson and Avery Johnson.
