He is survived by: his mother Deborah Carson Westervelt; his wife Leslie Varner Atwood of Hampton; his children, Zachary Varner of Hampton and Victoria Atwood of Hampton; his brothers, Eric Lee Atwood and Thomas John Atwood of Addison; his grandmother Joyce Harrison of Campbell; his stepparents, Charity Atwood of Hammondsport and Harold Stark of Savona; and his stepsiblings, Daniel Pierce of Chemung, Thomas Stark of Bath, Maggie Kubisky of Monterey and Jenna Stark of Savona.
