He is survived by: his parents, Roger Dale Merritt and Shirley Prince Merritt; his wife Kami Merritt; his daughter Kaitlyn Elizabeth Merritt; his stepchildren, Carie Herndon (Nick) and Bradley Herndon; his brother Chad Merritt (Kimberly); his nephews, Jason Merritt and Dominick Merritt; and his cousin Brandy Inman.
