He was predeceased by: his parents, Nannie Childress and Grover Clifton Childress. He is survived by: his son Kenneth Childress Jr. (Jennifer); his granddaughters, Keri Brown (Ryan) and Kelsi Brewer (Gary); his great grandchildren, Maci and Emersyn Brown; his siblings, Carroll "Chick", Frances Clark, Sara Zink, Wilette Evans, Craig, Edward, David, Patsy Nolan, Tommy and Steve; and also Beth Darlington. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
