We are sad to announce that on September 12, 2021, at the age of 90, Alvin Lyde Blackmon (Hartsville, South Carolina), born in Darlington, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Bruce Blackmon and Mary Ellen Stokes Blackmon; and his siblings, John Cecil Blackmon, William Monroe Blackmon, Laurie Cephus Blackmon, Elizabeth Blackmon Watson and Mary Blackmon Burdick.
He is survived by: his children, Alvin Bruce Blackmon (Katherine Katilda) and Belinda Blackmon; his grandsons, David Lance Blackmon (Katie) and Andrew Lide Blackmon (Kimberly); and his great grandchildren, Emmaline Marie Blackmon and Samuel Lide Blackmon.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to North Hartsville Baptist Church, 1117 Patrick Hwy, Hartsville, SC 29550.
