With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jean Balfour Mixon (Hartsville, South Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 14, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, George Thomas Balfour and Bertha Hertle Balfour; her sons, Brian William Mixon of Oxnard, CA and Leslie Thomas Mixon of Beaufort, SC.; her husband Elias William Mixon; her son Scott Andrew Mixon of Hartsville; her daughters-in-law, Carmen Garcia of Oxnard, CA and Donna Daggs Mixon of Beaufort, SC; her brother Gary Thomas Balfour of London, England; and her grandchildren, Jesse William Mixon of Beaufort, SC, Mia Genevieve Mixon of Oxnard, CA, Ryan Elias Mixon of Oxnard, CA and Emma Kathlene Mixon of Beaufort, SC. She was also cherished by three great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her honor to St. Bartholomew's Anglican Church Outreach Fund, 107 N. 8th Street, Hartsville, SC 29550.
