She was predeceased by : her parents, Johnny G. Pridgen and Addie Wells Pridgen; her husband Harvey Allen Dixon, Sr.; and her sons, Dennis "Windy" Dixon and Harvey Allen Dixon, Jr..

She is survived by : her daughter Velda Ruedinger (Don) of Florence, SC; her grandchildren, Hali Bess of Darlington, SC and Austin Bess of Charleston, SC; and her great grandchild Saffron Ward.
