She was predeceased by: her parents, William Oscar Nichols and Janie Jolly Nichols; her former husband Tom Johnson; her husband George Young; her siblings, Ralph Nichols, Charles "Nick" Nichols and Louise Nichols; her daughter Elaine Johnson Beasley; and her grandson Gene Beasley.
She is survived by: her sons, Tommy Johnson (Wanda) and Terry Johnson (Sherry) of Hartsville. She is also survived by six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Morton Presbyterian Church, 1068 Morton Circle, Hartsville, SC 29550.
