He was predeceased by : his father Jessie Stephens, Sr.; and his brothers, Gary Lee Hickmon and Jessie Hickmon. He is survived by : his mother Rosa Hickmon; his wife Sarah Goodman; his children, Kalvon Goodman, Kendrick Goodman and Kentreal Goodman; his grandchildren, Latreal Wright and Khalani Ivey Hamlin; his siblings, Samantha Hickmon, Felisha Hickmon, Judy Hickmon, Myra Reese, Miriam Perry, Jessica Childs, Harriet Childs, Donald Hickmon (Charlanda), Arnold Hickmon (Dianna), Grant Hickmon and Willie Rogers; his cousin Verndell Joye; and his uncle Harry Hannah. He is also survived by numerous other uncles, aunts, in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other close relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Harold L. & Dorothy J. Young Memorial Chapel (711 S 6th St, Hartsville, SC 29550). A celebration of life was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Liberty Hill Baptist Church (55 Dove Ln, Bishopville, SC 29010). A burial was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the Sandy Bluff United Methodist Church (415 Woodham Rd, Bishopville, SC 29010).
