It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Bell Boone Thompson of Hemingway, South Carolina, who passed away on January 12, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband John Eleba Thompson; her parents, Luke Boone and Lillie Bell Ray Boone; and her siblings, Ivester Boone, Oscar Boone and Evelyn Poston.
She is survived by: her children, Charlton Thompson, Sr. (Geneve) and Annette Thompson Parker (David); and her grandchildren, Charlton Thompson, Jr. (Christie), Candace Brown (Jim), Summer Baxley (Nathan), John Boone Thompson (Tiffany), Ivie Parker and Brooke Parker. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
