He is survived by: his wife Frankie Miller Gaskins; his children, Gilbert Hazel Gaskins, III and Jennifer Brooks (Travis); and his grandsons, Baylor and Sheppard Brooks. He is also survived by brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
