He was predeceased by: his parents, Laurie Wardell "Mutt" Powell, Sr. and Cherrill Cribb Yates. He is survived by: his pet Samson; his former wife Betty Tanner Powell; his daughters, Samantha Hartfield (Windell) and Kindall Cribb (Jason); his grandchildren, Keaton, Liam, Cieran and Robert "Peanut"; his stepfather Bert Yates; his siblings, Tony Powell (Susan), Laurie W. Powell, Jr. and Dianne Lineberger (Lewis); and his stepbrother Kenneth Yates (Christina). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
