It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James E. Cox Jr. (Hemingway, South Carolina), born in Fort Lee, Virginia, who passed away on April 14, 2021, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Earl Cox, Sr. and Leila V. Thompson Cox Buhrman; and his stepfather Gerald F. Buhrman. He is survived by: his close friend Karen Joy Mason; his sisters, Louise Cox Simons and Barbara Cox Oltman; his nieces, Heather Simons Vabalitis, Christie Simons Stout, Kimberly Simons Oldenburg and Michelle Cook; his nephew Gerald Simons; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Deidre Weist, Mya Das, Hunter Oldenburg, Cole Stout, Austin Das and Sherman Oldenburg.
