She is survived by: her parent Edith Lyerly Altman; her daughter Johnnie Juliette Morris Powell; her grandchildren, Vickie Baxley (Larry), Melody McGee (Jackie), Tammy Stone, Dewey M. "Bubba" Powell, III (Melinda), Curtis Powell and Walt Powell; and her close friend Judy Player. She is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
