He is survived by: his parent Ruby Edith Avant Owens; his wife Betty Wrenn Owens; his children, Denise Filyaw (Jonathan), Ruby Whitman (Matt), Richard Cook (Lynn), Joe Cook, Keith Cook (Kim), Johnny Cook (Crystal) and Lynette Goodwin (Charles); his grandchildren, Hayden, Savanna, Hanna Filyaw, Brianna, Jada and Shelton Goodwin; and his siblings, Cortez Owens (Martha), Damon Owens, Roger Owens (Darnell), Keith Owens (Cindy), Suzanne Pope (John) and Vicky Zurcher (Randy). He is also survived by other grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
