He was loved and cherished by many people including: his daughter April Hayward of Columbia, SC; his mother Laura Mae Simpson of Wilmington, NC; his siblings, Lorene Cokley (Leon) of Hemingway, SC, Ruthena Linen (Gus) of Hemingway, SC, Daisy Bell Davis of Johnsonville, SC, L. B. Hayward of Bronx, NY and Leroy Hayward of Columbia, SC; his brother-in-law Leon "Shorty" Cokley; and his nieces, LoAnna Wright and Vanessa Davis. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
