He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnny Abrams and Docia E. Poston Abrams; his daughter Renee Wierszewski; and his siblings, Avery M. Abrams, Hansel U. Abrams, Merrill Abrams, Delmus E. Abrams, Eul Dean Richardson and Margie Lou Poston.

He is survived by: his children, Robert Thalmer Abrams and Phyllis A. Foster (Mike); and his granddaughters, Heather Foster and Chelsea Wierszewski.
