She was predeceased by : her parents, Suezo Kawase and Hisako Higuchi Kawase; her son-in-law Gen Malphrus; and her sister Masayo Kimura. She is survived by : her children, Kay Malphrus, Troy Hodges (Sherry) and Gerald Hodges (Kelly); her grandchildren, Cory Malphrus (Judith), Jenifer Hodges (Jimmy) and Eric Hodges (Esther); her great grandchild Hunter Malphrus; and her siblings, Chieko Kawase, Hiroyo Suzuki, Yasuhiro Kawase and Harunori Kawase. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
