He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Thomas Osborn "Ozzie" Barnwell and Joyce "Dumpy" Barnwell Cave; his brother John Frederick "Teddy" Barnwell; his son Bryan McClellan Barnwell; his significant other Karen "Tootie" Barnwell; his children, William Manigault Barnwell IV and Melissa Barnwell McAdams; and his brother Thomas Osborn Barnwell Jr..
