She was predeceased by: her grandmother J. L. Utsey; her parent Margie U. Stoppelbein; and her daughter Anna Maria McInerny. She is survived by: her son Joseph Scott McInerny "Scotty" (Sharon Evans); her fiancé William H. Searson "Buster"; and her sister Sharon Womack (Wayne).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's of Charleston and Charleston Animal Society.
