She was predeceased by: her parents, James Elmore and Mildred Horton Stephens; her former husband Donald E. Cromer; and her sister Betty C. Stephens. She is survived by: her husband Glen W. Kirkland; her daughters, Stephanie Cromer Andrews (Todd), Donna Cromer Ilderton (Elmo) and Tammie Cromer Patrick (Sean); her grandchildren, Jaime Andrews, Jenna Andrews, Ansley Ilderton Dunn (Josh), Chandler Ilderton and Jordan Patrick; her siblings, Barbara S. Smith (Bobby), Patsy W. Eubanks (Paul), Eldora Floyd and James E. Stephens Jr. (Reba); her pets, Emma and Sunny; and her friends, Faye Thornton Waters and Brenda Strickland Layton. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
