She was predeceased by: her father Homer Grady Chapman, Jr.; her brother Homer Grady Chapman III; her stepfather J. Lee Sims; and her great-niece Madeline Sheppard. She is survived by: her mother Bernice Metts Chapman Sims of Columbia, SC; her nephew Jason Sheppard (Kathleen); her great-nephew Eric Sheppard of Belton, SC; her stepsiblings, George Sims, David Sims, Susan Roden and Beth Selander; and her pet Minnie. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
