It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyn Jane Hutto Chabica (Irmo, South Carolina), born in Columbia, South Carolina, who passed away on October 8, 2023, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Gerald "Jerry" Chabica, Sr.; her parents, Ruth Hutto and Birdy Lawrence Hutto; her siblings, Vivian Bignon, Dorothy Wyatt, Mary Sue Schumpert, Faye Swygert and Francis "Bud" Hutto; her children, Richard (Marina), Jerry, Cathy Delaney and Janis Conklin; her great grandchildren, Erik, Cash Delaney, Ryan and Katie Delaney; her granddaughter Tara (Jimmy Casey); her great grandchildren, Norah and Caroline; her granddaughter Meghan (Matt Pennell); her great grandchildren, Kate and Jack; her grandson Pete Conklin; her aunt Barbara "Bobbie"; and also, Eli, Drew, Taylor, Savannah and Braylnn. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews and her neighbors.
