He was predeceased by: his spouse Mary Derrick Hipp; his brother Howard K. Hipp; and his stepmother Nina Hayden Hipp. He is survived by: his son Bret H. Hipp (Kathy) of Irmo; his granddaughters, Pressley McClain Hipp and Mary Monroe Hipp of Lexington; and his siblings, Dorothy H. Hunter of Columbia, Evelyn H. Evans (Claude) of Chapin and James A. Hipp of Columbia. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
