He was predeceased by: his parents, Emory Ford Thompson and Lila Mae Porter Thompson; his wife Dorothy; and his brothers, Richard, Ryland, Rene and Myron.

He is survived by: his daughter Karen Robertson (Steve); his grandchildren, Kristy Quattrone (Anthony) and Grant Robertson (Jessica); and his great grandchild Raymond Anthony Quattrone. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Due to COVID, the family will have a private service for Mr. Thompson.
