She was predeceased by: her parents, Yancy Amis and Alva Cornet Amis. She is survived by: her husband Doy Deaton; her sons, Michael D. Deaton and Donald M. Deaton (Carrie); her grandchildren, Joel and Caroline Deaton; and her friend Kathleen Carter.
