She was predeceased by: her parents, Mildred W. Halse-Smith and George W. Smith; and her grandson Jackson Ellis. She is survived by: her husband William Blackburn; her daughters, Kelly Webb (Mary) of Florida and Ashley Ellis (Mike) of South Carolina; her grandchildren, Emily, Mylee and Logan Ellis; and her close friend Diane Prout-Schneider. She is also survived by sister, two brothers and several nieces and nephews.
