He was predeceased by: his parents, Jones Holbrook Williams Jr. and Harriett Riley Williams; and his sister Sue Cook. He is survived by: his wife Gwen Mangum Williams; his children, Daniel Holbrook "Brooks" Williams (Lori) of Irmo, Traci Williams of Columbia and Britt Williams of Lexington; and his grandchildren, Alex, Hampton and Riley Williams.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Church of The Good Shepherd in Columbia, S.C.
