He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Turner and Susie Turner Taylor; his children, Kenneth Dwayne Turner and Sheila Marie Turner; his sister Fern Turner; and his stepfather Henry Taylor.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Jean McCombs Turner; his daughter Caroline "Missy" Bundrick of Lexington; his siblings, Tom, John, Bob, Mike, Jeff Turner, Geraldine Kilborn, Mary Taylor and Martha Turner; his nephews, Ronnie "Gruder" Wilson and Chris Wilson; his child Faris Rd of Greenville, SC; and also, James "David" Turner, William "Tommy" Turner, Steven Turner and Dalton Turner. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.
