It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Smiley O'Merle Shealy (Irmo, South Carolina), born in Columbia, South Carolina, who passed away on October 11, 2019, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Oscar Shealy and Gertrude Ella Shealy; and his wife Libby Ella Shealy. He is survived by: his daughter Nancy Shealy Bowers (Sterling) of Columbia; his sister Helen Derrick; and his grandson David Sterling Bowers.
