It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alex Murray (Kingstree, South Carolina), who passed away on April 26, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Geneva Murray; his daughter Debra Ann Murray; his father Aldridge Murray; and his sisters, Helen Murray, Lillian Murray and Emma Ann McKnight.
He is survived by: his children, Janet Pearson, Louise Montgomery (Pastor Wayne), Lee E. Murray (Arlenia) of Chesapeake, VA, Alex Murray Jr. of Salters, SC and Mary H.; his mother Pearl Murray of Salters, SC; his siblings, Joseph Murray (Diane) of Greeleyville, SC, Thomas Murray (Rosa) of Salters, SC, John Murray (Shenae) of Charlotte, NC, Nancy Robinson (Wilkie) of Lane, SC and Carolyn Sabb of Florence, SC; his siblings-in-law, Norman McKnight of Kingstree, SC, Elijah Wilson of Lake City, SC, Rose Lawler (Nathaniel) of Pahokee, FL, Elizabeth Johnson (Sylvester) of South Bay, FL, Daphne Boston Sr. (Curtis) of Sumter, SC and Judy Wilson; his uncle Mancy Felder (Carlis) of Salters, SC; his aunt Ella Felder of Salters, SC; and his friend Alice Singleton. He is also survived by twenty-five grandchildren; thirty-three great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren.
