She was predeceased by : her parents, Preston Carlyle Brown, Jr. and Doris Gene Bowman Brown; and her brother John Brown. She is survived by : her children, Haley McKissick of Lake City and Sean McKissick (Kim) of Lake City; her grandchildren, Marley Carson, Trinity Carson, Karley Monroe, Kapers Monroe, Sean Preston McKissick, T'asia Burgess, Kaleyah Salters, Maya Salters, Jayden McKissick, Kainon McKissick and Liam McKissick; her cousins, Anne and Duncan; her close friends, Patty Brown, Stacey Parker, Shannon Yarborough, Lee Godwin and Tahira Frierson; her former life partner Shawn Pollard of Murrells Inlet; and her pet Zeus.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Carolina Funeral Home (215 E Hwy 378 Byp, Scranton, SC 29591). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Carolina Funeral Home Chapel (215 E Hwy 378 Byp, Scranton, SC 29591).
