It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joanna Godwin of Lake City, South Carolina, born in Gastonia, North Carolina, who passed away on October 5, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her spouse Marion Bertrum "Bert" Godwin; her parents, Andrew Franklin Sides and Geneva Elizabeth Cherry Sides; her former life partner Harold Dean Angle; and her siblings, James David Sides, Danny Levon Sides, Gene Raymond Sides and Janice Lynn Henry Simmons.

She is survived by : her son Harold Dean "Dink" Angle of Darlington; and her siblings, Robert Franklin Sides, Sr. of Grover, NC, Margaret "Honey" Heafner of Todd, NC and Sylvia K. Davis of Shelby, NC..
