He was predeceased by : his parents, Woodrow Edward Beard and Elise Louise Miles Beard; his son Bryan Beard; and his brothers, Von Beard, Billy Beard and Don Beard.

He is survived by : his wife Roxie Mae Floyd Beard; his daughter Joby Gray (Preston) of Lake City; his grandchildren, Matthew Legrand Gray of Lake City and Roxanne Gray Eaddy (Hunter) of Lake City; his great grandchild Kallen Bennett Gray; and his siblings, W. E. Beard (Janet) of Effingham, Lloyd Beard of Georgetown, Corrine Welch of Turbeville, Willaree Welch of Turbeville and Beretha Lou Coker (J. A. Coker) of Turbeville.

CDC guidelines for the COVID-19 virus and social distancing will be observed during the service. All attendees will be required to wear a mask.
