He was predeceased by: his parents, Clayton Alexander Thompson Sr. and Nanie Edna Shannon Thompson. He is survived by: his spouse YEvonne Walker Thompson; his children, Clayton A. Thompson, III (Carolyn) of Columbia, SC and Shardae Dike (Eric, Sr.) of Salisbury, NC; and his siblings, Vicky Moten (Alphonso, Sr.) of Charlotte, NC, Kenneth Thompson, Sr. (Mazola) of Lancaster, SC, John Earl Thompson (Anita) of Lancaster, SC and Gordon Thompson, Sr. (Debra) of Lancaster, SC. He is also survived by six grandchildren.
