With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Armond Pearson Compton Jr. (Laurens, South Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 22, 2025 at the age of 73. He was predeceased by: his parents, Armond Pearson Compton, Sr. and Betty Owens Compton. He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Kimbrough Compton; his children, Armond Pearson Compton, III, Amanda Beavers (Shawn) and Scott Pugh (Stephanie); his grandchildren, Amanda Orr (Christian), Adam Compton (Savannah), Aaron Compton (Holland), Hannah Fisher (Jamin), Taylor Hawkins and Jessica Simmons (Tristin); his great grandchildren, Brycen Hawkins, Aiden Simmons, Carter Simmons and Ensley Hawkins; his brother Terry Lee Compton (Nancy); his nephews, Luke Compton (Michelle) and Zack Compton (Jamie); and his niece Becky Malone.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church (499 Chestnut Ridge Rd, Laurens, SC 29360). Visitation was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
