He was predeceased by: his parents, George William and Cattie Inez Caughman Swygert of Leesville, SC.; and his siblings, Irvin Eugene, Verley Enoch, Edith Marie, William Carl, Nell Sue, Alma Julia, Rev. Robert Lee, George Hennis, Essie Miriam, Marvin Adolphus and Mildred Catherine.
He is survived by: his wife Earlene Hall Swygert; his children, Susan Swygert Lucas (Jimmy) and Brice Swygert (Sabrina); his grandchildren, Travis, Phillip Lucas, Mariah, Lydia, Tabitha and Cordell Swygert; and his siblings, Lera Jane, Deward Levoy "Stump" and Martha Ann.
