She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Robinson and Mary Chavis Robinson; and her brother T. R. Robinson. She is survived by: her sons, Michael Hoover, Jeffery S. Hoover (Jackie) and Jonathan D. Hoover (Stephanie); her grandchildren, Randall Headden (Janna), Jonathan Hoover (Adriana), Devin Wilson, Charles Hoover, Hannah Hoover, Gabe Hoover, Jesilynn Hoover and Rheagan Culliver; her great grandchildren, Rylie Wilson and Millie-Grace Wilson; and her sister Rochelle Link (Harry). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
She had a passion for charity work especially with domestic violence and women's shelters.
