He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth A. Amick and Popie Crout Amick; his wife Evelyn Eva Howard Amick; and his brothers, Alton "Pete Amick, Kenneth Albarhett "Ab" Amick, Darryl Amick and Harold "Lynn" Amick.

He is survived by: his sons, Carrol Amick (Stacey) and Ronald Amick (Darlene); his grandchildren, Kenneth Amick (Tani), Joseph Amick (Kristen), Matthew Amick, Nancy Amick, Lawson Estridge and Madison Patterson (Robby); his great grandchildren, Isadora Amick, Christina Amick, Wyatt Amick and Hailey Grace Amick; and his sister Betty Amick Crout.
