She is survived by: her husband John Steele, Sr.; her children, Jason Steele (Renee), Renee Gantt (Steve) and Denise Steele (Howard); her grandchildren, Chelsea Steele-Scaggs (Brett), Hailey Gresham (Nick), Zach Hook, Cassidy Gantt-Hollis (Michael), Johnathon Steele (Alexia), Brycen Steele, Evelyn Grace, Riley, Carson and Julie Renee Hollis; her sister Dorothy Gunter; and her nephews, Hayward (Cathy) and Darel (Dora).
